Taylor Swift Reportedly Threatened Legal Action Against Kanye West Over Phone Recording

Taylor Swift apparently took legal action against Kanye West months ago.

The Taylor Swift and Kanye West saga continues. After spending a moment as BFFs, the two are back to sparring, ever since Kanye West rapped in reference T-Swift on his "Famous" record, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous."

Although reports said that Kanye had discussed the line in question with Taylor, and that she had approved it, T-Swift's management denied this. Nonetheless, Kanye's wife pressed on saying there was video proof of Taylor giving her approval-- and last night she went ahead and exposed the video via her Snapchat. Taylor had a reply though, saying the video never shows Kanye asking about the "that bitch" part specifically, which appears to be where Taylor's issues lie.

Now backpedaling further, TMZ reports that Taylor actually threatened Kanye with legal action if he were to leak the video, which was apparently unlawfully recorded. TMZ claims to have a copy of a letter Taylor's lawyer sent Kanye back in February. The lawyer reportedly states in his letter that, under California law, anyone who records someone without the other person's knowledge is committing a criminal offense.

The letter reportedly threatens, "Demand is hereby made that you immediately destroy all such recordings, provide us of assurance that this has been done, and also assurance that these recordings have not been previously disseminated."

We'll have to see what happens from here. Taylor could very well file a lawsuit.
