President Buhari Puts A Stop To Payment Of Overseas Medical Trips For Government Officials

President Buhari has decided to put a stop to the payment of overseas trips of all Government oficials who have medical conditions that can be managed within the shores of the country.

The President stated this while speaking at the opening ceremony of the 56th Annual General Conference and delegates meeting of the Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, in Sokoto, yesterday April 27th.

Buhari was represented by the Minister of Health Professor Isaac Adewole at the event;

“While this administration will not deny anyone of his or her fundamental human rights, we will certainly not encourage expending Nigerian hard-earned resources on any government official seeking medical care abroad, when such can be handled in Nigeria.”
