One of Chibok Girls Captured by Boko Haram Found; Now a Mother of One

According to the BBC, one of the Chibok girls has been found, the first since their capture by Boko Haram militants in 2014, activists say.

Activists confirmed to the BBC that Amina Ali was found by a vigilante group on Tuesday in the Sambisa Forest, close to the border with Cameroon. She was reportedly identified by a civilian fighter who recognised her.

Reports say that Amina, was found with a child with other women in Sambisa, following military operations told the civilian JTF members that she was taken from Chibok.

It would be recalled that about 276 girls were forcefully kidnapped from their secondary school in north-east Nigeria by the Islamist fighters in April 2014.

More details to follow…
